The motion for the evening "This House believes that pensions are too important to be treated as just another form of savings" will be proposed by Alison O'Connell of The Pensions Policy Institute and seconded by Paul Lewis, the well known journalist and broadcaster. Martin Taylor of Goldman Sachs and WH Smith Pension Trustees will be opposing the motion, supported by Rob Collinge, Senior Vice President Benefits at GlaxoSmithKline. Malcolm McLean, Chief Executive of The Pensions Advisory Service, will be chairing the evening.
